CHILD PROTECTION.
Most children in Uganda have faced some form of violence - physical, sexual, emotional or domestic.
More than 8 million children, 51 per cent of the child population, are believed to be vulnerable.
Protection of child victims or children at risk of sexual exploitation.
The overall objective of the program is to fulfil the rights of children to live free from all forms of sexual exploitation. The program works to reduce children's vulnerability to sexual exploitation and to facilitate better integration of issues relating to commercial sexual exploitation of children into child protection systems.

Overcomers work is withdrawing children from labor back into school. We passionate on eliminating child labor and expanding education and skill training opportunities. Subsequently, child labor has now been mainstreamed into OVERCOMERS's programs. This is because school offers the best environment for the protection of children and enhances the realization of the other rights of children.

This program works to reduces violence against children with special focus on sexual exploitation of children in Adjumani Sub County. Some of the strategies used by the program include raising awareness and knowledge levels on sexual exploitation of children, advocacy and lobbying as well as strengthening cooperation, networking and linkages among stakeholders and front-line professionals involved in addressing sexual exploitation of children.

Families experiencing crises or extreme hardship may have difficulty caring adequately for their children. We work with families and communities to help them build their capacities so that children are well cared for and families stay together.

Children have a right to protection and to feel safe. We at OVERCOMERS’ don’t tolerate any form of child abuse, exploitation, neglect or violation of a child’s privacy. We are committed to creating and maintaining a caring and protective environment for every child we reach through our programmes.
Protecting children in emergencies
Children are particularly vulnerable during humanitarian emergencies. In such situations, we put the protection of children and their families at the centre of our actions.
Teach and train
Quality education and training are keys to a successful future. We help ensure that children's fundamental right to education is met, from early childhood through vocational training or university, and that young people are prepared to live independent lives.
